Shining with the joy of Christ

Dear Beloved Church Family,
As we enter the month of November, our hearts
naturally turn toward gratitude. The changing
season, the beauty of fall, and the approaching
celebration of Thanksgiving remind us of the
importance of giving thanks—not just once a
year, but as a daily rhythm of life. Scripture
reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks
in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you
in Christ Jesus.” Gratitude is not only a response
to blessings received, but an act of faith that
recognizes God’s hand even in the moments we
don’t fully understand. This season invites us to
pause and reflect on God’s faithfulness. Each day
brings countless reasons to be thankful: the gift
of life, the love of family and friends, the
fellowship of our church community, and most
importantly, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
that sustains us through every season. As we
gather for worship, share meals, and serve others
this month, may we do so with hearts
overflowing with gratitude. Let’s look for
opportunities to bless those who are lonely, to
encourage the weary, and to remind others that
they are deeply loved by God. May our
thanksgiving not be confined to a day on the
calendar, but become a way of living—rooted in
grace, overflowing in generosity, and shining
with the joy of Christ.
With love and gratitude,
Rev. Pilar Pérez
