Consider This

When someone says, "consider this" what does that mean to you? To me it is a request to ponder and think deep about what they are laying before you. Jesus asked us to consider the lilies, meaning look at the way God uses them to adorn a field. He also

asks us to consider the birds and how God takes care of them day by day. I bring this to your attention because I think that we may have gotten too busy to really consider

anything. There is great value in taking time to look around you at what God is doing and think deep about it. Consider where you are today compared to where you were in the past, look at how Gods' hand has been on your life. What are the things that have you troubled? Now consider how much bigger God is than your problems. Take some time and think about the goodness of God and consider the love that He has for you. In this fast paced, always connected to the media world we live in, there is a grave danger of losing the ability to simply consider who we are, who God is, and how blessed we are to have a relationship with Him. Take some time to look around, take in the sights as you slow down to see the majestic God that loves you and wants to walk in the cool of the day with you. This life seems to being going by so fast, but in reality, time is moving at the same pace, therefore it must be me that is moving faster. Join me as I intentionally try to take more time to meditate on the goodness of God. I want to consider God in every aspect of my life.

In Christ,

Rev. Pilar Perez
